We are pleased to announce the fourth annual OPaf (Other Places art fair), on September 11 and 12, 2021 at Battery Leary-Merriam, Angels Gate Cultural Center, San Pedro, California. OPaf 2021 features over fifty art project spaces and artist projects from the United States and Mexico and returns to its fully outdoor setting. Fluid in definition, bonded by an intention to operate in other places outside the traditional art gallery systems, Other Places art fair (OPaf) features participants presenting site-specific booths encapsulating their projects and programming. Representing the growing movement of hard to define art project spaces, OPaf provides an alternative art fair structure designed specifically for these unconventional projects. In addition to the main fair, OPaf 2021 will also feature two days of performances and talks, live screen printing by Calimucho Screen Printing, a used art book sale, and food. The exhibition “Multiples” featuring the work of Nathan Gulick, Colleen Hargaden, Seth Lower, Megan Mueller, Samuel Scharf, Noah Spindler, Katie Thoma, and Katya Usvitsky, with a text by Hannah Sage Kay will be on view in the Angels Gate Cultural Center gallery both days.
