Holocaust Museum LA, in conjunction with the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Los Angeles, presents “Passports for Life,” an exhibit curated by the Pilecki Institute in Switzerland that tells the story of Polish diplomats and their heroic efforts to save Jews during the Holocaust. The exhibit is open now and will be at the museum until mid-December, its only U.S. appearance. Through photographs and documents, “Passports for Life” chronicles the efforts of the Switzerland-based Lados Group, comprised of Polish diplomats and Jewish activists, who issued thousands of fake passports to Jews to aid their escape from sure death in the Holocaust. Admission to the museum and the exhibit is free to California residents and students, but reservations are required.
