Celebrate the openings of new exhibitions by Gary Simmons and Phyllida Barlow with a vinyl set paying homage to legendary Jamaican record producer Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry by DJ Jihaari. In the open-air courtyard, enjoy a cash bar by the gallery’s onsite restaurant, Manuela. DJ Jihaari’s vinyl set—‘For Lovers Only’—will mark the first of a series of public performances and activations on Gary Simmons’ sculptural installation ‘Recapturing Memories of the Black Ark’ (2014 – ongoing) on view in the gallery’s outdoor courtyard. The event is free. Reservations are not necessary. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination will be required upon entry to the gallery and masks are required inside of exhibition and retail spaces.
