Lorin Gallery is thrilled to present the first solo exhibition shown in the United States by famous artist DotPigeon called, “Burn Hollywood Burn”.
DotPigeon’s triumphant collaborated NFT shows in New York and Miami with British auction house, Christie’s, sets him as one of the great pioneers of the NFT world.
All of the elements shown in DotPigeon’s pieces have a double meaning, from the designer outfits to the house accessories in the backgrounds. His technique increases the contrast between the look and feel of the composition. It also sends a powerful message to the public.
Dotpigeon’s recent work created for “Burn Hollywood Burn” is a projection of all feelings that cannot be publicly expressed because of social conventions. His paintings are staged as a performance with the “Balaclava guy” as the main protagonist. He returns by acting as this alter ego that everyone has deep within them, an aspirational persona that everybody desires to be, including DotPigeon. From his unique sneakers to his designer clothes, he represents our true selves and nature. This personification symbolizes what we associate with the feeling of anger and rampage.
DotPigeon brings the riot to the front door of all the glamorous houses shown in his pieces. Each residence displayed in his canvases is an authentic celebrity mansion, and even features the famous crypto mansion situated in Hollywood, Los Angeles. All of the houses embody appearances that are often deceptive. DotPigeon would best describe them as: “Glossy, clean, the always fake smiling and politically correct people.”
