Join quilt historian Patricia Turner and fashion designers from House of Aama as they explore storytelling in textile design. Turner is a UCLA professor of World Arts and Cultures and African-American Studies whose research focuses on racial dynamics in folklore and popular culture. Fashion brand House of Aama explores the folkways of the black experience by designing timeless garments with nostalgic references informed by historical research, archival analysis, and storytelling.
