The Claremont Lewis Museum of Art Fall Gala will celebrate the power of art in our lives and its ability to bring a community together on Saturday, September 24. The festivities will begin at 5:30 pm with a reception on the Depot Plaza to toast the many generous donors who helped complete the renovation of the final two rooms in the Claremont Depot, transforming them into spacious galleries. The Museum will be open to view the current exhibition Claremont Collects: Art, Creativity, Community and dinner will be served on the Depot lawn by Chef Henry of Spaggi’s. Highlights of the evening will include the dedication of Gallery One to Marguerite McIntosh, the founding president of the Museum, and a tribute to Randall Lewis and his family for their stunning and strategic gift to establish an endowment fund to secure the future of the Claremont Lewis Museum of Art. The event will include bidding on unique live auction items, as well as a paddle auction to benefit Project ARTstART celebrating its twelfth year in the Claremont Unified School District. The community is invited to participate in the Gala celebration and the Online Auction, with 50 works by Claremont’s legacy artists and current local artists. The Online Auction will go live at 2022clmoa.afrogs.org at noon on Sunday, September 18, and end at noon on Monday, September 25. Preview viewing of the silent auction begins on Monday, September 12.
