Los Angeles 90065 **Also open by appt. About the show: Zaki Christ has assembled a series of “Mud Pots” inspired by the mud dauber wasp. Using their mandibles, female wasps mold their nests out of mud. Zaki Christ’s own studio, flooded with ample plant life and outdoor space, is a healthy host to these wasp architects. As a young boy, Zaki Christ was deeply influenced by his mother’s architecture career. Hoisting a X-Acto knife before he could read or write, the impression of building one’s own space has been thoroughly rooted since his upbringing. This fascination has now manifested itself into homes for his plants.
