DANOK Inc. is happy to announce a group exhibition, "Existence." The exhibition will be held at Gallery Wester, 210 N. Western Ave., from March 03rd to 09th. The opening reception is on March 03rd from 05 PM - 07 PM. We will be showing a variety of artworks including but not limited to: Painting, Photography, and Digital Art. Participating artists are Bluemoon, Gary Chung, Lily Dazzling, Koo Bon Geun, Ronald Gonzales, Dave Hanson, H.RED, Lim Soo Min, Matthew McHugh, Yvonne Petkus, Rhee Rakeum, and Kim Su Young. Each artist worked based on a theme of Existence written below. The theme of the exhibition: To exist is to give some meaning and value. In the infinite space of the world, there is a small existence called "I." Existence of "I" forms "you" and "we" and the world. The current world is a collection of things that countless 'I' beings have given meaning and value to. However, the purity of the act of giving value and meaning to existence with ideology, ideas, and conventional wisdom that have dominated thousands of years of time has become weak and unclear. The expressions performed in the pure realm of art are simply a feast of intact beings with the meaning and value given by the existence of "I". They may come to us with a presence that is never lightly weighted, albeit microscopic, and may discuss the reason for their existence together. The exhibition "Existence" is looking for artworks that represent "I" in this context.
