Memoryhouse (2017 - ongoing) is a durational performance series in three acts. So far, eight chapters have been performed in various locations in various lengths of time. The work takes in consideration the space occupied in a continuing act of becoming, by means of taking over memory through a subjective experience, the past is on equal footing with the present. Over this period of time, the artist carries a transportable home, which transforms, shapeshifts and dissolves. Some objects and materials in this home have been with Antunes since Memoryhouse Ch.I (2018), others were found on location or made in her studio in Los Angeles. Each iteration is informed by the fragmented memories of previous chapters for the continuity of consecutive chapters. Each their own story and interpretation of the present time. In addition, Memoryhouse has its own scrapbook of notes and photo records, field recordings, sound and found materials archived. Memoryhouse grows its roots each time.
