Artist Kerry Tribe, whose work The Aphasia Poetry Club (2015) is on view in the Hammer’s Together in Time exhibition through June 5th, shares insights into her practice and process making work that investigates human consciousness and communication. Tribe deploys a variety of media to examine the slippage between authentic and scripted interactions, and collective versus personal experiences. Afterwards, Tribe will be joined onstage by curator Connie Butler for a conversation about Tribe’s work in relation to the Hammer contemporary collection.
