Overduin & Co. is pleased to present the exhibition “Bijna Niks” by Dutch artist Machteld Rullens. This is the artist’s first solo exhibition in the U.S.. Rullens works with sculptural elements that have a strong link with painting but rarely employ a brush. Rullens’ works encase found boxes in brightly colored oil paint, preserving actions and compositions in a thick layer of gloss resin. An artists’ book titled "Full of Emptiness” was published by Zolo Press last year with an essay by L.A. based art critic Andrew Berardini.
