Invertigo Dance Theater is excited to share the premiere of a new performance work “Walk the Walk”—a hybrid work straddling contemporary dance, performance art, and queer community theatre, collaboratively created by a gender nonconforming ensemble. Walk the Walk's cast of creators taps into visceral presence: themes of renaming rituals, queer labor, trans lineage, and liberation are activated through dimensional choreography and storytelling. This electric new performance creates a portal into the realities of trans and non-binary artists. We feel blessed to have this idea come to fruition through a collaborative process amongst K. Bradford, Cedric Tai, Cody Brunelle-Potter, D. Hill, and Lennon Torres — and to have the work awarded with a California Arts Council grant.
