ordan Slaffey’s (@jayslaff) "Sadferociousjoy" is a journey about forgiveness. This is a work about the act of forgiving a lover, being forgiven by loved ones, and the struggle to tackle forgiveness at its hardest points in life. This journey is based on Slaffey's own personal experiences dealing with forgiveness throughout her life and intends to bring healing and light to every individual in the audience, whether or not they are willing to forgive, have already forgiven, or are still in the process of healing to reach that final point of forgiveness. Jordan's inspiration comes from her grandmother's will to forgive her grandfather after decades of unadressed trauma. "When she forgave him," Slaffey says, "it was a very powerful moment and it was almost like time stopped." Experience a public program with Slaffey and a preview of "Sadferociousjoy" on November 29 at 7pm in ICA LA’s Project Room as a part of "Infinite Rehearsal with Chris Emile and No)one. Art House"
