The term ‘Post Human’ is used to describe modes of being, resulting from potential enhancements to human nature generated through applied science and technological developments. We’re beginning to live in a world we’re used to seeing in our science fiction films and books, what we might call the Post-Human Age, in which the line between humans and tech is no longer distinguishable. A juxtaposition of timely works of art with erotica, mythology, religion and the future. Post Human in the wildest sense of the word: from the mundane, to the fierce and mysteriously strange to the distorted and fascinatingly dark. Tobias Ross-Southall and Jack Lewis would like to present an exploration of the pursuit of ‘Post Human’ in their own work and that of their contemporaries. A cross-continental conversation between contemporary artists from; Mexico City, London, New York and Los Angeles. A celebration of life, beauty and the tribulations of the human experience. Post Human V is the fifth in a series of global group exhibitions curated by Tobias Ross-Southall and this Los Angeles instalment co-curated with Jack Lewis.
