INSIGHTS is the annual juried School of Art student exhibition at California State University, Long Beach. INSIGHTS 2024 takes place in the Max L. Gatov, Dr. Maxine Merlino, Dennis W. Dutzi, and Marilyn Werby galleries, which comprise the main School of Art Galleries located between Fine Arts 2 and Fine Arts 3 (May 8th–May 14th). Select works will also be displayed at the Carolyn Campagna Kleefeld Contemporary Art Museum (May 18th–July 25th). Undergraduate and graduate students were invited to submit up to three works for consideration -- the exhibition was juried by School of Art faculty from their respective program areas: Animation/Pre-Production, Ceramics, Drawing & Painting, Fiber, Graphic Design, Illustration, Metals & Jewelry, Photography, Printmaking, Sculpture/4D, and Wood. School of Art Galleries are open Wednesday, May 8th–Tuesday, May 14th Gallery hours: Monday-Friday, 12pm–5pm. Carolyn Campagna Kleefeld Contemporary Art Museum will host a selection of works May 18th - July 25th. May 18th is Beach Grad Day — a campus-wide graduation celebration. The Museum will open with special hours for Beach Grad Day and in celebration of its opening of INSIGHTS 2024 on Saturday, May 18th from 10am – 2pm. The Museum summer hours are Tuesdays-Thursdays, 12pm-5pm. Select INSIGHTS 2024 works are on view through Thursday, July 25th.
