Latin Sounds features world-renowned artists performing everything from Indigenous music to the latest sounds from Argentina, Brazil, Cuba, Mexico, Peru, and Los Angeles! These free concerts are presented Saturday evenings at the Dorothy Collins Brown Amphitheater at LACMA, where you can enjoy open seating and picnicking on the grounds This week, join us for a concert with Susie Hansen Latin Band. Celebrating their 35th Anniversary, the Susie Hansen Latin Band is led by violinist Susie Hansen. Her musicians perform an infectious blend of salsa and Latin jazz along with cumbia, charanga, merengue, bachata, and cha cha cha. Over the years, Susie has performed with Francisco Aguabella, Bobby Matos, Long John Oliva, and Papa Conga. As a recording artist, the Susie Hansen Latin Band has released “Solo Flight” (named by Latin Beat Magazine as one of its Top 100 Independent Latin Jazz Recordings), “The Salsa Never Ends” and “Representante de la Salsa.” Latin Sounds is free and open to all. Seating is limited and first come, first served.
