Please join us Saturday, for an ‘Artist Walkthrough’ with Marantz Moon, followed by a ‘Community Feed’ outside the gallery on Washington Blvd. Starting at 4:00 PM, Marantz Moon will walk attendees through his solo exhibition, “1000 Afros Loitering 4 Beauty,” providing insight into his inspiration and process. At 5:00 PM, we’ll take the party outside, serving tunes from our friend Jaade Wills and serving up White Chicken Chili & various accoutrement to all. Photo by Tyler Hicks ——— For those of you just tapping in with DMST, Community Feeds are a great opportunity to see the space, learn about ongoing projects, find out how to get involved and most importantly, be a part of the community. For every ‘Community Feed,’ volunteers sign up to cook in advance, and others help with serving. If you are interested in participating, please email us at ALL are welcome, food is free, and donations are appreciated if you have that capacity. Please note that COVID is going around! Please do not attend if you are feeling any type of symptoms the day of. While masks are not required, we will have them available for folks to use while indoors. ——— This particular feed is in loving memory of our Co-Owner Frannie's dad, David Hemmelgarn, who passed away in April this year. He taught us what it means to be in and show up for community, how to hold people, in all of their differences, flaws and beauty, with love and wonder and patience.
