“Everything Leads to Here” brings together a dynamic collection of abstract paintings and panoramic photography. The exhibition explores two aspects of Shane’s artistic practice: delivering a transcendental experience via photography and presenting the materiality of paint as a medium for both collage and sculpture. The paint-based pieces are vibrant, textured works that evoke shifting visual scales: from vast and epic, to tiny and microscopic. Shane’s painting process uses paint as a collage medium, building up conglomerations of freestanding paint in and of itself. Shane’s “Inception Pano” photographs bend our everyday reality into a picture plane in which we are looking at the world right-side up and upside down BOTH AT ONCE, prompting the viewer to look at the world around them in a new way!
