The Artists Gallery is pleased to partner with curator Karen Fiorito to present INDIVISIBLE, a collection of art pertaining to the 2024 presidential election, society's perception of politics, and current events. The exhibition will feature profound and pertinent works from 16 American artists. Curated by Karen Fiorito, political activist, artist, and curator, INDIVISIBLE explores society's fragile democracy, its flailing institutions and the threat of an authoritarian nightmare. In partnering with Swing Left, Fiorito hopes to engage the public through live political poster printing, voter registration opportunities, panel discussions, and community programming. Regarding the exhibition, Fiorito states, “INDIVISIBLE is a celebration of "Artivism," that combines Art and Activism. Artivism opens dialogues, creates change and encourages growth through awareness and empathy for others, which leads the public towards the greater good.” Coinciding with INDIVISIBLE, Fiorito will additionally exhibit a solo collection of her own works. This showcase will be on view in TAG's West Gallery space. Titled Sign Language, Fiorito's solo exhibition will feature mixed media replicas of political billboards. Displayed alongside documentary photos of Fiorito's billboards, the miniature collection will highlight Fiorito's designed woks, created over the past 20 years. The community and press are invited to celebrate these exhibitions at a special opening reception, happening Friday, September 13 from 5:00PM-8:00PM. Participating artists will be in attendance to meet guests, answer questions and speak about their art. Guests will have the opportunity to print political posters, register to vote and mingle with the community. In addition to TAG, Fiorito has partnered with three notable organizations to host this exhibition.
