MSHR upends L.A. with back-to-back nights of performance at Human Resources presented by UPEND, each night featuring a distinct mode of the Portland, Oregon-based collective’s networked visual artwork, soundwork, feedback, and shape shift. ––– On this, night two, MSHR will perform NETWORK ENTITY, a live audiovisual improvisation which will see their hyper-cyber-extended cinema projected upon the grand wall of Human Resources. Within the video signal and 4-channel audio realm of NETWORK ENTITY, “sculptural and sonic shapes are formally linked in an ever-mutating composition.” MSHR’s interplay with the shape-shifting is, of course, via instruments of their own devise: sculptural electronic interfaces and open source software structures.
