vrtue is a fathomed space, tied to its own unique mythos and historical record. through immediate and tangible experiences, we are given an opportunity to confront the physical manifestation of its essence. in these moments the prospect of transformation becomes apparent, a choice is made to engage with that which may realign, uproot, or resolve parts of self, ideas of reality, framing of life. vrtue draws focus to the nature of ancient wisdom permeating through natural phenomena, making its presence known in moments of insight and revelation. those who experience these instances are forever changed, moving forward with the newfound understanding of the knowledge that has been asleep within themselves, finally waking up, tapping into this well of esoteric wisdom and the reality that they are the conduit. vrtue poses the opportunity for those to congregate around this vault of insight, aligning values accordingly. through acts of devotion, enacting ritual, converging in an immediate time and place, those with the connection to this force become believers. The opportunity to engage with vrtue emerges, made manifest through an immersive installation, hosted by Melrose Botanical Garden. This weekend long experience will present works by artists and designers who transmute the essence of vrtue through the materiality of the work and personal philosophies. Serving as a pop up shop & sculptural installation hybrid, the space will be transformed into a site for investigation and contemplation. The launch event for vrtue will take place on Oct 25 2024 from 7-10PM, featuring live performance art, sound, curated drinks, & provisions by Jade Sky Ono.
