Matter Studio Gallery is honored to present Eva Montealegre in her solo exhibit, titled Deep Matter here in the Gallery. In this exhibit, Montealegre takes us on a journey, a journey through space movement from the macro to the micro, suggesting flight into or out of this space and dimension. In a review by the insightful, highly regarded and renowned critic Shana Nys Dambrot writes, “In the heartily textured, expressively drawn, chromatically saturated abstractions by Eva Montealegre, the artist’s own process of self-discovery plays out in organic, macro/micro shapes and patterns that don’t so much communicate her hard-won insights as offer local evidence of the journey.
