A memoir of growing up as a young gay white man in Tulsa, Oklahoma in the 40s and 50s, and living in New York in the 60s and 70s, I Remember remains surprisingly and poignantly relatable whatever your sexual orientation, gender, race or age may be. The formal structure of the work, which consists primarily of pithy reflections beginning with “I Remember” is perfectly suited to a marathon reading format. The idea is to read as little as a statement or two up to a page or two, and pass it along to the next reader.
The reading will be outdoors, dress accordingly
Feel free to bring a blanket because chair seating will be limited
