Join us Friday December 20, 2024 at 7 PM at Central Server Works DTLA for a discussion with artists Ross Simonini and Erica Ryan Stallones, celebrating the final weekend of Erica’s solo exhibition “Three’s a Crowd”. Erica’s work delves into the fluidity of identity and the dynamics of gatherings, using richly detailed compositions to explore themes of motherhood and the connections that bind and separate us. Ross brings his dynamic practice to the table, with paintings described as “bacchanals,” featuring streams of colorful, sprite-like figures. Crafted with materials dating back to Fra Angelico’s frescoes, his works blend timeless organic textures with reflections on modern scrolling—a meditation on how we experience images and stories today. Together, their practices offer unique perspectives on the intersections of art, narrative, and shared experience and the talk will dive into the fluidity of identity, human connection, and the art of storytelling in their work.
