"From Leningrad to Liminality: Masha Sheinina's Subversive Spirit and her Art" Join us for an intimate artist talk with Masha Sheinina, a rare opportunity to hear directly from the artist as she delves into the historical, cultural, and personal inspirations that have shaped her groundbreaking work. From her early life in Leningrad during the final days of the Soviet Union to her diasporic journey to the United States, Masha’s practice is deeply rooted in themes of migration, identity, and intergenerational memory. She will explore how her scientific training, feminist ethos, and connection to Russian folklore, religious texts, and family dynamics inform her powerful and provocative ceramic sculptures. Following this talk we will conclude her solo show exhibition with a reception with drinks and snacks.
