Georgia Gardner Gray’s original play CHRYSALIS, will be staged at Regen Projects alongside her exhibition of the same name.
Presented within the exhibition itself, the play follows archetypes –– the religious anti-modern American, the modern American, and the libertine comedian –– through a series of scenes interconnected by the daily route of an Amazon delivery man. Drawing partly from Eugène Ionesco’s “Amédée, or How to Get Rid of It,” Gray invokes the Theater of the Absurd to reflect the absurdities of contemporary life.
Saturday, March 29 is the last chance to see the exhibition and play that Autre magazine has said "is a powerful reminder that transformation is not an endpoint but an enduring process, one that demands both confrontation and reinvention."
