She earned her BFA in painting and illustration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and has since developed a distinctive style that merges surrealism with emotional realism. Working across drawing, painting, writing, sculpture, and print, Oleander’s latest series follows solitary figures—small in scale but full of purpose—as they journey through vast, foreboding landscapes. Guided by personal experience, she allows color, scale, and composition to shape each piece, letting emotions unfold and find harmony on the canvas. Her work captures the delicate balance between solitude and connection, uncertainty and possibility, revealing the invisible threads that unite everything.
