Eastern Projects Gallery is proud to announce "Where Would You Be If You Closed Your Eyes?”, a solo exhibition by internationally acclaimed Canadian artist and photographer Raphael Mazzucco. The exhibition opens with a public reception on Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 5–8 PM, and will remain on view through June 14, 2025.
Renowned for his evocative fusion of photography, paint, collage, and handwritten text, Mazzucco’s mixed media works blur the lines between fashion, fine art, and narrative. A global artist with a signature aesthetic, Mazzucco has spent the past two decades crafting iconic images for some of the world's most recognizable brands—including Calvin Klein, Guess, Victoria’s Secret, Vogue, Playboy, and Ralph Lauren. His work has graced the covers of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition three times in four years, capturing the imagination of millions.
"Where Would You Be If You Closed Your Eyes?” invites viewers into a dreamlike journey across continents and inner landscapes. In these works, Mazzucco channels the raw beauty of nature and the intimate power of the feminine form, evoking a sense of wanderlust, nostalgia, and freedom. Lush imagery drawn from African plains, Brazilian jungles, and Southeast Asian fields is layered with vibrant paint and texture, creating immersive, tactile experiences that challenge the boundaries of traditional photography.
Mazzucco’s work has been exhibited around the world, from London and Milan to Hong Kong, Miami, and Sydney. This upcoming exhibition marks a rare opportunity for Los Angeles audiences to experience his powerful, sensorial storytelling in person.
Don’t miss the chance to step into the world of Raphael Mazzucco—where passion meets paint, and every image feels like a memory just beginning to form.
