Musichead Gallery is proud to present Simply the Best: The Power and Perseverance of Tina Turner, a photography exhibition celebrating the undeniable spirit and legacy of the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll. Featuring 20 unforgettable images captured by 11 acclaimed photographers, this exhibition traces Tina Turner's extraordinary journey, from her explosive rise as the dynamic frontwoman of Ike & Tina Turner to her rebirth as a solo powerhouse.
From her explosive beginnings with Ike & Tina Turner to her historic solo comeback, the exhibition showcases intimate portraits, electrifying live shots, and candid photographs that reflect her resilience and artistry. Featured photographers include Bob Gruen, Norman Seeff, Deborah Feingold, Baron Wolman, Brian Aris, and more.
Visitors will also get a look at original Rolling Stone magazine covers featuring Tina Turner, the magazine’s first Black artist and woman cover star.
Tina Turner’s story is more than music—it’s about reclaiming your voice and rising stronger than ever, says gallery founder and curator Sam Milgrom. This exhibition is both a celebration and a reflection, and we’re proud to honor her journey at Musichead Gallery.
