Youth ages 14 and up are invited to join local drag performers for a joyful exploration of drag history and performance. Participants will examine archival sources from the artistic and political history of drag in West Hollywood, led by curator and children’s book author Lil Miss Hot Mess; learn the fundamentals of drag artistry with Pickle, Drag Laureate of West Hollywood; and put on their dancing shoes with Kyra Jeté. This program is organized by Trevor Ladner (a.k.a. Miss Annie Thang), One Institute’s Director of Education Programs.
It’s Where I Belong is an exhibition presented by One Institute and curated by Lil Miss Hot Mess. The project is made possible through a 40th Anniversary Cultural History Grant from the City of West Hollywood. Special thanks to ONE Archives at the USC Libraries.
Parent/legal guardian permission is required for youth ages 14-17. Please complete all relevant questions when reserving your ticket.
