‘Even Sam’s modality––and medium––is reminiscent of the trampoline park inside of the perpetually repurposed shopping strip. He enacts his own forms of reincarnation, making an entire painting and then another atop its surface the following day. He carves inscriptions into underglaze and covers his own tracks; he hand-pixellates his works and smudges formations of color with tap water.
