The Artists Gallery and The Joey Feldman Gallery are proud to present Made in the USA: Comics to Counterculture. This juried open exhibition celebrates artists who bring imagination to life through sci-fi, fantasy, surreal illustration, dark art, manga, comics, book art, and beyond. Juried by Joey Feldman, this exhibition bridges the gap between the traditional fine art world and the vibrant, expressive realm of illustrative and genre-based art. Joey Feldman is an artist, collector, and first-time curator whose passion for illustration and storytelling fuels his work. Feldman approached The Artists Gallery (TAG) with this concept due to the gallery’s long-term impact on and engagement with the Los Angeles art community. With a deep appreciation for the craft of comic book art, concept design, and fantasy illustration, we are excited to showcase the raw talent of artists whose work often lives outside the conventional gallery space. This is an opportunity to hear from and see the many creators who shape the visual culture of our time—artists whose work we admire in books, on screens, and in collectible form, but are rarely found on gallery walls. 51 Local and National Artists, over 100 Artworks Also On Show, TAG Artists working in painting, sculpture, photography, drawing and illustration, present “Vacation Time” exhibiting visual stories that capture escape, get-away places, destinations, time in nature or reprieve from technology.
