Join us for a special artist talk with Brad Bernhardt, a Los Angeles–based visual artist whose mixed-media works remix pop culture, advertising, and memory into bold, thought-provoking critiques of mass media aesthetics.
A graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Bernhardt has exhibited in major cities including LA, San Francisco, and Miami, with features at GGLA, Guerrero Gallery, Mana Project Space, and other progressive venues.
Known for blending painted surfaces with cultural fragments, his practice explores nostalgia, consumerism, irony, and the emotional pull of branding. At this talk, Bernhardt will share insights into the themes behind his new works, his evolving commentary on identity and commercial culture, and his perspective on what it means to create contemporary painting in a media-saturated world.
Attendees will also hear firsthand about his involvement with Mark Jude Gallery and how the historic Sears building inspired him to contribute a collection in dialogue with tradition and personal experience.
