Join Catalina Museum for a date night with your special someone to unplug and create! The event will be guided by artist and expressive arts guide Kymberlee Stanley. Kymberlee will guide couples through writing and art prompts to: - Write handwritten notes to each other that reflect favorite memories together on art cards from Catalina - Create handmade (postcard size) art to put inside love/appreciation notes using pen, ink or watercolor options provided. Options could be to draw scenes of the island where memories were made, or even free-form abstract drawings of how you felt when you were together. The sky’s the limit! - Cards can be sealed and kept a secret and mailed to your home by the museum, or ooened and shared during the workshop – your choice! Each couple will receive their own Date Night Love Notes Box with the following: 1. 6 Catalina scenes original art print cards to choose from 2. Pens/pencils/colored pencils 3. Catalina magnet to hang up card or art on fridge! 4. Heavy card stock (postcard size) paper for art piece to be inserted in card 5. Special treats and more! Kymberlee Stanley is a professional oil painter who will have a booth at the Fall Catalina Art Festival this year on September 19th-21st. She is also a professional psychotherapist who runs expressive arts groups in her studio in Nashville, TN. This event is not designed as a therapeutic activity, but for fun and to create new memories together. No experience necessary, and each couple can feel free to create their own unique messages and images.
