Join us for an intimate night of elemental cinema—where air, water, moon, and earth converge in moving image. Curated by Ann Shi with Chinese BaZi cosmology, the program balances Water (Lei Benben), Earth (Shirley Tse), Wood (Dana Berman Duff), and Fire (Warren Neidich) to create a meditative space for ecological attunement, breath, and soft resistance.
Featuring U.S. premieres of "The Universe Breathes Us" (Relational), a tidal-moon collaboration weaving sculpture, choral song, and repurposed materials; and Lei Benben’s "Fresh Air," a quietly radical portrait of Chinese city parks as portals to stillness. Also screening: Shirley Tse’s "Orkney Moon," Dana Berman Duff’s "The House Is Empty," and Warren Neidich’s "In the Mind’s I: Huang," among others.
Artists: Shirley Tse, Lei Benben, Dana Berman Duff, Warren Neidich, Relational (Shirley Tse & Dana Berman Duff) with Doug Farrand, Alan Berman Duff, C3LA, and Kliður.
Handmade tea served during intermission. Cushions, seats, blankets, and putuan (蒲团) provided.
Tickets: $15–20 ($10 reduced). Space limited to 20 guests. RSVP required:
