A 16mm film companion to the book, Pyramids: Special Economic Vortex Zones of North America (The Fulcrum Press, Special Effects, 2025)— Ian James’ film studies a diverse range of the vibrational, energy-condensing structures across North America. Inspired by durational looking and structural filmmaking and shot during several of James’ pilgrimage trips to these sites, the film is a motion picture account of select pyramid locations from the photographic project. Sites include Michael Reynolds’ Earthship pyramid, a Michigan office furniture design studio turned data center, a rural Wisconsin night club, a fundamentalist Mormon temple, and more. Soundtrack by A Never Ending Explosion.
