Anderson. _ _ This Saturday, November 1 is the final event for Matthew McGaughey’s “Staged,” and the last event EVER at our West Adams location. We are fully-geared for the last Koming of Kurt at this ‘Closing Reception,’ an All Hallows’ Day æpotheosis realized with Performances by: + Matthew McGaughey + Alex Stevens with Trevor Rounseville and Ryan Chin + Nelle J. Anderson *Performances are set to begin at 9pm. Doors open at 8:00pm. The sets are varied and ranging, but all work through sound and snarls between performance, repetition, re-reproduction, and distortion. Some possible mechanics along the “bind of expectation” include: bodies, pedals, projections, snares, vocals. And it will be LOUD. [Earplugs will be available for anyone avoiding damaged drums.] There will also be some merchy memorabilia available for purchase: T-Shirts—two types, three sizes. 25$ per shirt. This event will transform the space quite a bit since it is another re-staging (literally) layered on top of the installed works (though you’ll still be able to take a gander—just expect some alterations).
