The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) is pleased to host the 8th Annual Farhang Short Film Festival on Saturday, September 24 at 6 pm. The event explores Iranian culture and celebrates the brightest talents in filmmaking. More than 180 films from around the world have been submitted–the most ever for this festival. The event, hosted by standup comedian K-von–who is himself a former winner of the festival–will screen the six chosen finalist films. Three winners will then be selected from a film jury. A cocktail reception to celebrate the filmmakers immediately follows the event. Tickets for the film festival and after-party festivities are $35 for LACMA members and $45 for the general public.
