To complement the politically poignant exhibition, S/Election, on view through January 8, 2017, The City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs (DCA) and the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery (LAMAG) present two lively panel discussions designed to ignite conversations about citizenship and democracy in America. All are invited to join community leaders and artists for Un-panel I: Citizenship moderated by Ernesto Rocha, which takes place Thursday, October 27th from 7-9 p.m.; Un-panel II: Democracy, moderated by Farrah Karapetian, takes place Saturday, November 12 from 2-4 p.m.at Barnsdall Park (4800 Hollywood Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90065). Under the curatorial direction of newly appointed LAMAG Curator, Erin Christovale, and Art Center Director, Isabelle Lutterodt, the exhibition provides an alternative platform for artists and the public to participate in civic discourse.
