Harrison’s process involves adhering parts of Tibetan Thangka paintings onto a wooden panel. Harrison collages the imagery, keeping the rhythm of the composition by drawing contoured lines. The result is a painting that first looks like an abstract Romantic landscape, yet as you move closer the patterns from the Thangka paintings emerge through the brushstrokes allowing the piece added depth and focus.
