COLA has served as an important springboard for LA’s artistic talent, nurturing their work through substantial individual grants, which are then showcased in bi-annual exhibitions. Piggybacking on the retrospective theme, several dynamic conversations along with a talk on how to preserve your artistic will take place at Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery. The conversations will focus on the work of past COLA recipients as well as serve as a forum for a dynamic exchange between recipients and new media makers, at once, recognizing both the achievements of 11 COLA fellows, who have passed, and, the other 260 COLA recipients, all of whom enhance the creative legacy of Los Angeles. www.lamag.org
