In conjunction with African-Print Fashion Now!, Victoria L. Rovine, Associate Professor of Art History at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, addresses African fashion designers inspired by longstanding traditional dress practices, which they transform to create something new. These innovations feature both African-print cloth and other textiles and media. Enjoy a 10:30 am coffee reception in the Fowler Amphitheater before the talk in Lenart Auditorium.
