Noysky Projects and the City of West Hollywood present the closing reception and artist talk for "Knock on Wood", Sunday, October 20 in Plummer Park Long Hall. The show features a series of installations and collections by Sydney Croskery, Rachel Kaster, Sean Noyce + Katya Usvitsky, Elizabeth Preger, Ilona Berger + Andrew Wingler, and Lena Wolek relating to power objects, folklore, and superstitious artifacts. In addition to hearing more from the artists about their work, we'll also be discussing the theoretical origins of superstitions and power objects, the role magical thinking in art, and how we're programmed to use superstition to explain the unexplainable.
