Join us this Sunday, July 14th for In Conversation, a discussion about the art business with three expert panelists in the beautiful arts library at Art Division, located near MacArthur Park. Curator Hannah Sloan will moderate and encourage a dialogue that will span generational and geographical areas of Los Angeles, bringing fresh insights into the rapidly shifting landscape of the art world. SUGGESTED DONATION: $20 (Every dollar goes to supporting Art Division) Panelists: Craig Krull: Owner of Craig Krull Gallery in Santa Monica, with decades of experience navigating the art market. Luis Motta: A former Art Division student who now runs ATTOM, an artist-run space in Lincoln Heights that provides a platform for people of color to create conceptual art. Shana Nys Dambrot: Journalist (Art Critic) offering unique insights into the intersection of journalism and the arts. This conversation aims to educate Art Division students about the diverse career opportunities in the arts and to foster a dynamic discussion on achieving success in an ever-evolving industry. The Art Division Library is home to more than 10,000 books and resources that have been carefully collected for more than a decade. The collection includes architecture, painting, art history, design, photography and allied disciplines. It is the heart of Art Division. Classes such as Bookbinding, Art History and college and career coaching are held in the library, as well as lectures and screenings. The Library is open to our students and provides a safe place to study, research, and find inspiration. RSVP: https://www.artdivision.org/rsvp-in-conversation-2024.html
